Perinatal Mental Health Support

What is it?

Homestart Barnet provides the perinatal service to mums and their partners to get psychological support during and up to 1 year after pregnancy from a range of NHS mental health and wellbeing services. The perinatal mental health service offers practical and online support, including care for mother and baby, breastfeeding advice, and access to webinars and online learning.

How can it help me?

The service can offer you support to access mental health, substance abuse, and Domestic Violence services where required and will work closely with midwives, GPs, health visitors, and children’s centres.

How do I access it?

Access to services is by referral by your midwife, health visitor, GP, or a social care professional. You can self-refer to some services, including HSBBEH Home-Start Barnet.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 0300 0200 500 | 020 8702 4040.
