We are pleased to share the journey we have been on in the last year.
Since last Autumn, we have supported Barnet Public Health's Male Suicide Prevention Campaign.
Suicide is one of the leading causes of death amongst men, and each life lost to suicide is potentially preventable if we help raise awareness and share resources that can encourage men to talk.
We have supported this mission by going out to numerous male-dominated industries around Barnet.
During these visits we promoted the Stay Alive App, full of resources for anyone feeling suicidal and Zero Suicide Alliance's free online training that empowers you to have a life-saving conversation with someone you suspect is in a crisis.
Seher Kayikci, Senior Public Health Strategist at Public Health Barnet, will provide more details during CommUNITY Barnet's AGM next Thursday (24th) at 16:30, including Andy's Man Club's launch in Barnet March 28th.
Andy's Man Club is a nationwide talking group for men - providing a safe space for men to discuss any issues they are experiencing with their mental health. You will also have the opportunity to hear from their Project Development Lead, Oliver Viske, who will also be speaking at the AGM.
We will also be hearing from Naomi Russell, founder of Food Bank Aid North London, which may interest you. Food Bank Aid do incredible work supporting local food banks by collecting, sorting, and delivering needed food and household goods.
We do hope you can join us - book your spot here.

Very good explanation in this article. It feels Houston private security practical and well thought out. I also saw a related discussion on.
Do you feel like initiatives like Andy’s Man Club and the training sessions are starting to break down some of the https://uptown-pokiescasino.com stigma, or is it still quite difficult to get men to engage with these kinds of conversations?
This is an important and meaningful post addressing a critical issue with sensitivity and clarity. The way you’ve presented the discussion points from the AGM makes the topic accessible while still maintaining its seriousness. It also reminded me of a conversation I saw on https://www.goprogaragedoorrepair.com/ that touched on the importance of clear communication when discussing complex or sensitive subjects. Your post does exactly that—informing while encouraging reflection. Truly valuable content.
